For those asking, the text in the viewport is in Urdu in Nastaliq writing style (calligraphy). It's some poetry by a famous Urdu-language poet. I think it was Muhammad Iqbal quotes that bruvzg used as samples when implementing complex text layouts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhamma...

Such an underrated feature for Godot 4. I remember having to search for plugins for Godot 3 and Unity to do that.

All engines support Arabic natively. It's called numbers. People forget that.

That seems like something different than Arabic, maybe Farsi? The first letter looks like an Arabic "kaf" but has an extra line above it (I think giving it a "g" sound). And the third letter looks like the Arabic "jeem" but has 3 dots below (so I think pronounced like "ch").
