Bite Sized Archie #29 - A Proud Father Run Date - 6/25/21 Panel 1 - Veronica Lodge and Kevin Keller are just getting out of school. VERONICA, excited to be out of school: Hey, Kevin! Mall tonight? KEVIN, disappointed, slightly embarrassed: Ugh, I can’t! My dad’s back and he’s picking me up! Panel 2 VERONICA, delighted by this news that Kevin’s dad is around: Oh, that’s great! Daddy always just sends a car for me! KEVIN, slightly frustrated: You don’t understand, Veronica! He’s so over the top. Panel 3 VERONICA, curious: How bad could it be? KEVIN, facepalming from embarrassment: Oh gosh! He’s here! Panel 4 - Kevin’s father has arrived. A rugged, graying, handsome, older military man in camo or fatigues. He’s wearing sunglasses and a military jacket, triumphantly standing on the top of an old Sherman tank that just rolled into the Riverdale High parking lot. The tank has a bunch of stickers on the side, near the top: a rainbow flag, “PROUD FATHER OF A RIVERDALE HIGH HONORS STUDENT”, “I LOVE MY GAY SON KEVIN KELLER” He’s in the parking lot and his arrival has caused a bit of destruction and ruckus. The rest of the students are on the steps looking in amazement. KEVIN’S DAD, excited to see his son and be in town for the day. He has SPARKLES and SHINING LIGHTS around him: MY BOY, MY WONDERFUL SON! LET’S ROLL!
Bite Sized Archie #28 “Con-Versations” by Ron Cacace and Vincent Lovallo. Chuck Clayton, comic book creator, is sitting behind a table with his art on display. We can see that his booth has comics propped up for sale, samples of his artwork in a binder, and a sign that says “CHUCK CLAYTON’S COOL COMICS!” Panel 1 We see multiple after-images of Archie Andrews next to Chuck’s table, scanning all around his booth for people. ARCHIE, obviously not looking at Chuck’s art, just looking for girls: Hey Chuck, have you seen Betty or Veronica or Cheryl or Toni or Josie or Valerie or Sabrina around? CHUCK, not paying attention, exhausted with the conversation and just humoring him: Yes, it’s all canon, Randolph! Panel 3 Reggie Mantle has shown up now! He’s taken the place of Randolph on the left side of the panel. REGGIE: You should do a comic about me! Starring me and featuring me! It’ll be huge! CHUCK, ignoring Reggie and drawing/sketching on some paper: Just like your ego, Reggie! Panel 4 Jughead is here! Chuck is still sitting at his table. JUGHEAD, impressed with what he’s seeing at Chuck’s table: Your art is amazing, what’s your secret? CHUCK, smiling, looking directly at the reader with a tear in his eye: Patience!

JUGHEAD: Didn’t you say there was a new Marble Universe show? Panel 2 BETTY, remembering, excited: Yeah! It’s about a trickster who has to fix the time stream after he finds a time machine! They’re waiting for someone to show up and they haven’t appeared yet. They’re starting to get worried. TONI: Has Sabrina texted you back yet, Cheryl? CHERYL, unamused: Negative, TT! Still waiting! Panel 2 TONI, concerned: I hope she’s OK! CHERYL, annoyed: Ugh! It’s always a life-and-death situation with that girl! Panel 3 Sabrina is under the covers, and Salem the cat is sitting directly on her chest, sleeping peacefully. One of Sabrina’s arms is outside the covers, JUST out of reach of her phone. She can’t get out of bed while Salem’s on top of her. It’s both too heavy and too comfy. SABRINA, desperate: Salem, please move! I need to go! She’s holding a cloaked figure over the edge of the cliff. The cloaked figure LOOKS like it’s Dracula. VAMPIRONICA: Your reign of terror is over, Dracula! CLOAKED FIGURE: You’re making a huge mistake! Panel 2 We see the cloaked figure falling to the water below. Bite Sized Archie #22 - Animes ‘R’ Us Panel 1 Jughead is on the street pointing towards a storefront named “Anime’s ‘R’ Us” in a reference to a 1990s comic. JUGHEAD: Ahh... the anime store! My favorite after-school stop besides Pop Tate’s Chocklit Shoppe, of course! Panel 2 Randolph the anime nerd, dressed in his signature top hat and cape, and Jughead, are inside Animes R Us, sitting on the floor next to one another, reading manga. RANDOLPH, looking up from his book, inquisitively: Do you think they’ll ever make an anime about Riverdale, Jughead? JUGHEAD, with his thinking face on: I can picture it already, Randolph! Panel 3 The key art of My Hero Academia is drawn here but with Archie Comics characters in place of the My Hero characters. The word DETENTION is written on the board in white chalk. We can see Archie sitting at a desk near Weatherbee. A calendar on the wall reads MAY 1941 MR. WEATHERBEE, with anger in his face: Unless you want to spend the rest of your life in detention, I suggest you change your attitude! ARCHIE, upset at the fact that he’s in trouble: Gosh, you bet, Mr. Weatherbee! Panel 2 This panel is set in 1961! MR. ARCHIE, defiant and empowered: Not likely, I’m graduating soon! Panel 4 This panel is set in 2021! The chalkboard is now a smart board! Archie is surrounded by tech - a tablet, Nintendo Switch, airpods, etc. MR. WEATHERBEE, completely dejected and worn out, near crying: I was wrong! You’re not stuck here with me! I’m stuck in here with you! ARCHIE, looking directly at the camera, with a sly grin on his face: Nobody can escape the sliding timeline!

She's just stepped inside her bedroom doorway. She’s on the left side of the panel, her dresser and bed are on the right side of the panel & room. She’s got her arms up in the air, she’s tired but ready for sleep. CHERYL: Time for bed! Panel 2: We see a little bit more of the bed. There’s a black spot on the bedding. We can’t see clearly what’s on the bed but Cheryl’s eyes are popping out of her head. This sound effect is right above the black dot on the bed “SKKRT” Panel 3: Extreme close-up on a goofy looking purple spider waving at Cheryl. Toni Topaz and Kevin Keller are anchors behind the desk, dressed very nicely. There’s a bottom third with “Toni Topaz” and “Kevin Keller” under each of them. TONI: Up next, our culture correspondent Jughead Jones tells us all how to tweet! KEVIN: Jughead, take it away! Panel 2 We cut to Jughead Jones dressed in a suit. There’s a bottom third that says “Jughead Jones” and underneath it “Glutton, Gamer” JUGHEAD: Thanks Kevin, Toni. If you’ve ever thought about tweeting, listen up! Panel 3 Jughead is now pointing at the viewer, sternly. He’s never been more serious about anything in his life. JUGHEAD: You should never tweet. BETTY: It was so nice of Veronica to invite us to her new cabin! ARCHIE: : Yeah, should be fun! Panel 2 Archie and Betty are outside Veronica’s new cabin in the woods. Veronica’s on the front porch welcoming them with open arms. Veronica is very happy to see both Archie and Betty. Betty is amazed at the cabin. This is her first time seeing it. Archie’s got his hands in his pocket, he’s a bit nervous. VERONICA: My first visitors! Welcome! BETTY: This place is amazing, Veronica! Panel 3 We’re inside the cabin now. Betty, Archie, and Veronica are sitting on a couch next to one another. Archie is in the middle. Archie is looking down at his phone, he’s distracted for a moment but listening to them talk. Betty points to her phone. BETTY: Can I get the WiFi password? ARCHIE: It’s Lodge-Lodge2017. VERONICA: That’s right... Panel 4 Close-up panel on Archie’s face, who is SWEATING PROFUSELY now just like that Jordan Peele sweating meme from Key & Peele. The rest of the panel is overlapping word balloons - it’s Betty and Veronica talking and asking questions. “How did you know that, Archie?” “I thought we were the “first” visitors?” “How many times have you been here?” “You can’t “i’m baby” your way out of this!” “Veronica, care to explain?” “Archie, I asked you a question!”

Panel 2 Archie and Reggie are now wearing tuxedos. Reggie’s got a bouquet of flowers in hand. Archie’s got his best bow-tie on and he’s holding one single flower in his mouth and winking. Veronica remains undisturbed. ARCHIE: Dinner? REGGIE: Dinner and a movie? Panel 3 Reggie is leaning back on top of a motorcycle. Archie is standing in front of a pedicab. PANEL 1 Jughead is in his kitchen. He’s standing in front of the microwave with a microwave meal in one hand, looking at the back of the box’s instructions in his other hand. The box instructions read: COOK FOR 3 MINUTES, TURN OVER, COOK 2 MINUTES. LET SIT 1 MINUTE. JUGHEAD: Ok, here we go. PANEL 2 Jughead tosses the box over his head and into the garbage bin on the other side of the kitchen. PANEL 3 Jughead is still in front of the microwave. He hasn’t put anything in the microwave yet. He’s standing there, not moving, just staring at the microwave. The box can be seen on top of the garbage on the other side of the kitchen. JUGHEAD: ... PANEL 4: Jughead has retrieved the box from the garbage. He’s reading the instructions again. COOK FOR 3 MINUTES, TURN OVER, COOK 2 MINUTES. LET SIT 1 MINUTE. JUGHEAD: Ok, got it this time.

Betty Cooper - 2:39pm: anyone want my leftover fries? it’s me, jughead - 2:56pm: fries pls Betty Cooper - 3:01pm: too late, they’re gone! sorry jug. REGGIE, THE MAGNIFICENT - 3:03pm: way to duck things up, jughead Archie Andrews - 3:04pm: duck V is for Veronica - 3:04pm: duck it’s me, jughead - 3:05pm: duck Betty Cooper changed the group name to “duck” REGGIE, THE MAGNIFICENT left - 3:06pm PANEL 3 Betty & Reggie are in the hallway. PANEL 1 Archie & Jughead are in a large room. The BITE SIZED ARCHIE logo is drawn on the wall between them. Archie and Jughead are both looking at the logo on the wall. Archie’s got a frown, like he’s trying to remember or figure something out, but he can’t quite grasp it. Jughead’s got a neutral face. ARCHIE: Something’s missing... PANEL 2 Jughead has moved next to ARCHIE and placed his hands on the side of Archie’s hair, where the checkerboard pattern is. He is literally GRABBING THE CHECKERBOARD PATTERN (it should look like a hashtag) out of Archie’s hair. Archie is completely confused about what’s happening right now. PANEL 3 Jughead has now grabbed the checkerboard pattern and it is in his hands. He’s reaching up to place it in front of the words BITE SIZED ARCHIE. Archie is just completely astonished. PANEL 4 The checkerboard pattern from Archie’s hair has now become the HASHTAG in front of the logo. Jughead is back in his original position. JUGHEAD: Fixed it.

Panel 2: Jughead and Moose walk over. Toni is looking towards them. Toni: Looks like we're not the only ones who know about it! Betty, looking at the monolith. She's closer, about to touch it and inspect it. Betty: I wonder where this thing came from? Panel 3: The Monolith begins to shake and vibrate. Lights are flashing on the metal surface. Toni: What's happening! Did you do something?! Betty: It wasn't me! Panel 4: We are on Cosmo's ship. We can see the Earth through the window. Cosmo is holding a small remote in his hands. COSMO: Astra, have you seen my giant metal column? I'm calling it but I don't hear it. ASTRA: Again, Cosmo? That's like the third time this month!
