Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has called on the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council to explicitly condemn, as soon as possible, the US “aggressive attack” on the Darkhovin nuclear facility. In his letter submitted on Monday local time to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the rotating President of the Security Council, Iravani said, “The international community has consistently emphasized that armed attacks against peaceful nuclear facilities, or threats of attacks against such facilities, are unacceptable under any circumstances.” The International Atomic Energy Agency said it was reviewing reports of the strike and noted that the facility was still under construction and contained no nuclear material during its last inspection.

Middle East Spectator reported that most US military bases in Jordan have suffered heavy damage, with some left burning for hours after being struck by Iranian ballistic missiles. The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted a simultaneous missile and drone strike against a US base in Azraq, Jordan, targeting fighter shelters and a large parking ramp, according to the IRGC's Public Relations Office. In a statement, the IRGC reported that the operation was carried out in the early morning hours as part of Wave 20 of Operation Nasr 2. The strike was launched in response to the US aggression the previous night, the statement said. "With a crushing and simultaneous missile and drone attack on the fighter shelters and a large parking ramp at the American base in Azraq, Jordan," the IRGC said, "at least two American fighter jets and three American aircraft were completely destroyed while inflicting major damage on a number of others."
