Impeachment is a rigid, rare tool that often halts regular governance, whereas routine investigations allow lawmakers to continuously oversee the executive branch, shape public opinion, and build factual records without a guaranteed Senate acquittal.

Why should we give them access to clerks, or office supplies, or new robes if they can't promise not to take RVs in exchange for rulings?
