Alt text is for actually describing the content of the image, not just saying there鈥檚 some kind of mystery text in there.

I don鈥檛 think the alt text on these images is helping anyone. In cases where the images are predominantly text, you should include that text in the alt text. It is sufficient to make the alt text _just_ the text in the image in this case, I think.
