That's not a moon. It's...oh wait, my bad, that IS a moon. Specifically Mimas, a moon of Saturn. That large crater that makes it look like the Death Star (named the Herchel Crater, after the astronomer who discovered Mimas) was first observed when Voyager 1 passed by. The similarities are coincidence; the photo was resolved almost 3 years after "Star Wars" came out.
The 1850 Abolitionist remixed version of Paul Revere's famous engraving of the Boston Massacre. It shows a line of British Soilders opening fire on a crowd. This version puts Crispus Attucks, a mixed race black man believed to be the first person killed in the Boston Massacre, front and center. It should be noted this is an effective propaganda picture, as it shows the British in a full firing line, as if though they came ready for combat. In truth, they were scared, disorganized, and one of them panicked and shot into the crowd. It's not like the British saw the protesters riding away, intentionally got in front of them, shot, and falsely claimed self defense because "they're comming right at us!" That would be much closer in spirit to what this engraving is depicting. Not sure why I needed to make this awfully specific description...
Mimas, a moon of Saturn. That giant crater is named the Herchel crater, after the astronomer who first discovered the moon. It's also nicknamed the "Death Star" moon because, well, that crater makes it look like the Death Star. This is coincidence: the photo that first revealed the crater was resolved 3 years after "Star Wars (A New Hope)" came out.

There's some beautiful greenery, trees, and the ocean. It was a difficult hike to get to this spot, but once there, your reward is this view.

Picture taken from the "Go for Broke national education center" in Los Angeles, CA. The center is for the 442 infantry division (motto: "Go for Broke") from WWII, a division comprised entirely of Japanese-Americans, whose families were held without due process of law in the camps. Despite this, this division has a high percentage of medal awards, especially for a unit this small. The unit had 4,000 fighting soilders. It has been awarded 4,000 Bronze Stars and over 4,000 Purple Hearts-and that's just line one of thier awards. The last line includes 21 Medals of Honor and the French Legion d'Honneur. The picture is a display showing the interment order, given to American citizens or lawful residents of Japanese decent. It shows the euphemisms crossed out, replaced with what it actually meant. If you want to see it for yourself, it's in Little Tokyo in LA, right next to the Japanese American National museum, and across from the LA Metro station.

It depicts an alien spaceship invading, but instead of blowing up large monuments and overwhelming the world's military, it sucks up all the water, and then all the air. And as the human race is dying, the aliens say "we'd prefer your extinction to losing our jobs." The last panel is Calvin asking Hobbes about how far fetched his sci-fi story is. Hobbes bemoans that it's not far fetched enough.

Which is truth in history, and even today, the fact that the first man shot in the Boston Massacre isn't as well know as it should be. His name is Crispus Attucks. The original didn't depict him because...well, because racism. This later version did. It was an abolitionist work, pushing for the abolition of slavery by showing the (often forgotten even today) efforts of black men towards the cause of American Independence.

This was one of the incidents that led to the Revolutionary War. This is also a piece of propaganda, as the soilders are depicted in a battle line with the commander giving orders to fire when, in truth, the soilders were disorganized, facing a mass of angry protesters, and one of them panicked, leading to others to open fire. There was no order to fire, just a soilder with an itchy trigger finger whose actions resulted in the death of 5 people. Notably, revolutionary and future US President John Adams ended up being counsel for the defense when the soilders were tried for murder. Completely random thought: an 18th century Neil Young might have written a song that went: "Tin soilders and King George coming/we're finally on our own/this springtime I hear the drumming/Five dead at Customs House."

A red Cape Sundew on a wooden railing. Sundews are a species of carnivorous plants found worldwide. The Cape Sundew is from South Africa and is a common starter carnivorous plant, due to it being easy to care for. Though little droplets are sticky. Insects get caught in them, which causes the leaf to wrap around the insect. This particular specimen is a cultivated species, where the entire plant takes on a red hue when it has sufficient sunlight.

Which prompts Hermes to shout "that just raises further questions!"
