Upon completion of their imprinting process, an accord is given the right to design their frame - the body that they feel best represents them. However, they aren't necessarily locked into these frames for the rest of their lives: accords are free to change their appearance as they please, thanks in part to black box identification. The types of frame customization available depends heavily upon the manufacturer: some accords have more modular frames that allow them to swap out different parts, such as chestplates or headpieces. This is especially common for anchor-type accords, who typically end up getting modular frames for ease of access for maintenance & cleaning. It's not uncommon to see navigator-type accords opt for modular frames as well, giving them room to experiment with fashion & personal stylings over the course of their life. Though, not all accords choose modular designs: some instead opt for simpler, less modular frames. Their reasons can range from either not not seeing the need to micromanage their appearance so much, or the exorbitant cost of getting new frame components - even for more inexpensive, decorative parts. Despite the steep financial barrier, the option is always available for accords to change their frame - and thus, their appearance - to one they feel more comfortable in. Though giving Accords autonomy over their appearance was an integral part of Albrite Industry's initiative, even they could do little to counter the obscene cost of frame manufacturing. Also, though it seems like Cross is missing her signature scarf in this image, rest assured: it's actually in her hand off-screen. She just hasn't put it on yet!
