Another beneficial effect of high refresh rate displays, is the reduced stroboscopic effect for many. The stroboscopic effect (fixed gaze, during screen motion) is still visible above flicker fusion threshold (~85-100Hz). Also visible in games too (stroboscopics on bright/dark edges & objects) /3

Finite frame rates on displays produce artifacts on displays that look different from real life, for a variety of mudane reasons. And artifacts can change depending on graphics driver settings & display settings. This is even if display Hz is beyond your flicker fusion threshold. /4
