I know this is satire, But I seriously am ready to retire the word "deal" from the English language in the context of international affairs. It's Treaty; agreement; negotiation; covenant; accord. This is grown up time, not fucking middle school.

Wasn't the U.S. incursion into Vietnam supposed to be a quickie? (Direct military combat in Vietnam lasted 8 years (1965–1973) though total military involvement spanned nearly 20 years.) Why would U.S. combat/ involvement in Iran end sooner than that?
