Disingenuous. Migration has already been cut by 3/4 since it’s peak, so Lab should take be taking credit for that. To go further will result in negative economic consequences. A better polling question would be ‘would you support more immigration cuts if it meant tax rises’ - assume most would not
Labour could have used their platform as government to explain to people that without immigration we’re going to struggle to pay for pensions and social care. Instead they’re giving in to the billionaire media owners and Reform.

Yes, public perception is indeed wrong, and can be demonstrated to correlate far more directly with media / political sensationalism about immigration than with actual migration numbers.
