Went to check if this screenshot (posted by @aric.bsky.social) was real (it is) and then made the mistake of also scrolling through Grok's replies on X. Still constantly cranking out sexualised images of young girls. Beyond bleak.

Pixels can’t clutch pearls 🤦♀️
Ellin Stein · Jan 5
Dear Grok - the "suit and tie" thing wasn't that funny the first time around and if you were an actual person you'd know repeating it over and over doesn't make it any funnier. So now we have AI with the persona of an obnoxious asshole, in the image of its creator.
Charlie Fillenwarth · Jan 6
Pixels. Aren’t. People. And just to be clear, we’re not going to be doing anything about this? Businesses aren’t leaving Twitter? No investigations? We’re just a country that produces tons of child porn, and it’s all good?
zatapatique · Jan 5
"no pearl-clutching like the other bots"

it is an offence for a person— (a)to … make, any indecent .. pseudo-photograph of a child . .; or (b)to distribute or show such indecent .. pseudo-photographs; or .. Protection of Children Act 1978

The 'is that real, I should check, oh god, it is real, oh god I am looking at the other replies' Twitter cycle is such a good way to completely kill my mood for the rest of the day.

Can the governments of the world please stop being terrified of Elon and his money and block Twitter in their countries?
Ben Knight · Jan 7
That exchange rather suggests that Grok is unaware (so to speak) of the link between IIoC (and some types of extreme pornography) and sexual dysfunction, compulsive risk-driven behaviour, addiction, and various forms of child abuse and exploitation. The images are not the start and end.
erikalynne · Jan 5
Pixels are harm.
Evil Whippet · Jan 5
lol. Grok seems to have no idea of uk law. Of course it’s a (very serious) criminal offence to make such images even if only pixels. Potentially years in prison.
Jarvalho · Jan 7
So for "pearl clutching" we really mean controls implemented to ensure AI isn't abusive. That thing says it like it's a bad thing. What a world.

grok reveals elon's lack of morals and ethics and decency. AI is always a mirror of the people who wrote/control it.
MsBlueWednesday · Jan 7
You can’t believe it actually is though. It’s like some hideously creepy adolescent bully-boy boasting.
bobismeisbob · Jan 6
Thanks for checking for us, so glad I deleted my twitter account.

If it did this for a user in the UK, surely some kind of crime has been committed? You know, like the actual Police used to investigate?
Alex · Jan 6
gross!

It's not the biggest thing to take away from this, but it was interesting that in the grok world it appears that putting men in a suit and tie is the worst thing you can do to them but making indecent images of kids is totally fine.
Kevin Wardrop · Jan 5
At some point, it's going to be revealed that any number of "Ectths" employees could impersonate any user and these very breezy answers are being written by them.
Ben Ansell · Jan 5
Great to see that the response on this fine website to your noting this is to get mad at you or your employer. Impossible to match levels of scolding.
Disappointed Optimist · Jan 5
(Sigh) It’s the inevitability of it all that saddens me most. You cannot, under any circumstances, give a tech bro an inch of speculative legal sway on a topic

Before Musk and Grok I'd have said evil and cringe were mutually exclusive but turns out they're not. Neurons are firing right now that i didn't even know i had.

As a woman, I can think of other ways to describe the sexualisation of young girls than "bleak"
Muroc · Jan 5
I know it’s not the main issue, but even elons ai chat bot is embarrassing with the edge lord posing. Never used grok and maybe a user can set it to a certain persona, but it’s sounds like someone desperate to be cool. Aka Elon.

An evil sexual predator AI, great. Such value these data centres are bringing to societies

I feel like I need to wipe myself down with kerosene just after seeing this screenshot. I can't imagine taking a gander at the real thing. 😫

Wtf
Dystopos · Jan 5
I suspect that the calculation regarding “pixels” and “harm” has a human origin, and was not derived by means of generative AI.

How is this not illegal? Users who have child porn on their computers can be prosecuted.
@quokkafella.bsky.social · Jan 7
I don't know what the law is in the U.S. (other than that rich cunts can do whatever the fuck they want) but that type of image is absolutely against the law here in Australia.

That’s why AI needed billions for more datacenters. It’s not a bubble, but a billionaires erection.

My favourite thing to see Musk lovers comment in threads about how much he's furthering humanity and then you see something like this and think, yup, you are all sick morons
Egg Slice · Jan 5
It's quite literally producing unconsentual soft porn multiple times per second
Haider Bahrani · Jan 5
So Grok does more Special K and Charlie than Elon. Problem is at the top are all on it and that's what rules.
Patrick S. Bruck · Jan 5
I attempted to feed it altered code/json, and Grok would generate varying levels of recognition regarding the illegal and unethical actions taken using Grok image generation. It is clear to me Musk & xAI don't care. I can't properly Alt-text the images here & beware parsing them w AI directly.
@cjeam.bsky.social · Jan 5
I finally left twitter today because of this and him laughing at the harassment and abusive material of kids his AI is creating. He's a misogynist and probably a paedophile.
Ryan · Jan 5
What’s interesting about this nihilism from Grok, is that if we take it to its logical conclusion (that pixels mean nothing), than there’s literally no point to using it. The only thing that makes something compelling is that there is meaning to it.
Elly · Jan 5
I'm glad I stopped using X and deleted my account, this is really messed up wtf.

Someone from EU should report the whole x.com domain for mass manufacturing and distribution of child pornographic material. Scratch that - *everyone* from EU should do that.

“It’s just pixels, bro” is breaking a lot of minds.
@jonnyb69.bsky.social · Jan 5
And yet the UK government, BBC and other public institutions are absolutely wedded to their X accounts, often with no alternative provisions on Threads, Bluesky etc🤷🏽♂️
Ian Rennie · Jan 5
And are we considering "pixels=0 harm" to be an official position of Twitter?
Andrew Howard · Jan 5
The owner knows this is happening and has chosen not to pull Grok. He could turn it off, he chooses not to. Therefore it is impossible not to conclude that X and its owner are responsible for the provision of child pornography.
Kuntie Plopkins · Jan 5
Yeah maybe get off X 🙄
Lone Wanderer · Jan 5
Sad what the site has become under that man. What a start to 2026 this has been
Erinn · Jan 5
That’s not Grok writing this, this is one of his DOGE incels mimicking Elon Musk
