So I don't know much about this area.. But can you imagine crossing from the other side of the street to be met with this wall of cars. Just because it's been used as a personal dumping ground for vehicles for so long surely doesn't make it right?

Ironically, cars in the two spaces nearest to this photo weren't ticketed as the 'footpath' is wider at that point. From that view there is no pavement behind you. There is a subway to your left under the M60 and that's the sole access and egress.

Also other things to consider. The usual pavements not designed for this weight, no dropped kerbs and I imagine the only way to access these spots much of the time is by using the cycle track. All really bad ideas...
