DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s message is clear: this violence and dehumanization of ICE law enforcement must end WASHINGTON — Today, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released new statistics on assaults against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) law enforcement who now face a more than 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks against them, and an 8,000% increase in death threats. Sanctuary politicians have created an environment that encourages rampant assaults on law enforcement. During the first year of the Trump administration, from January 20 – December 31, 2025, DHS officials reported 275 assaults as compared to the 19 reported assaults during the same period in 2024. This is a horrific 1,347% increase in assaults against ICE officers. From January 21, 2025 – January 7, 2026, ICE law enforcement officers experienced 66 vehicular attacks against them, compared to only 2 during the same time period the previous year. This is a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks.

The ICE detention contractor’s political activity and lobbying report for 2025 states the company’s subsidiaries and its PAC gave $4,425,400 in political contributions that year. The company has disclosed giving to political campaigns as well as other political groups that aim to influence elections. One of those is MAGA, Inc, the super PAC aligned with President Donald Trump. In recent months alone, a GEO subsidiary called GEO Reentry Services LLC gave several $1 million contributions to MAGA, Inc: one in October 2025, one in March 2026, and one again in April 2026.

Moreover, the complaint alleges that GEO Group, American Liberty Foundation, and an affiliated 501(c)(4) dark money group, American Liberty Action Fund, violated federal campaign finance laws that prohibit making or knowingly soliciting a federal contractor contribution.

It is addressed to unaccompanied minors (UAC = Unaccompanied Alien Children) and explains two options: voluntary return to their country of origin within 72 hours with no administrative consequence, or requesting an immigration hearing. If the minor chooses a hearing, the document warns of four consequences: indefinite government detention; arrest and possible criminal prosecution of any sponsor without legal immigration status; being barred from future visa applications if fear of return cannot be substantiated; and transfer to ICE for deportation upon turning 18, which may result in a future visa bar. The same content is repeated in Spanish below the English text. The document appears photocopied and slightly worn.

There, mostly black convicts were forced to pick cotton from dawn to dusk for no pay. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers shot a man in Patterson on Tuesday morning, describing him as a wanted gang member who tried to run over an officer during a traffic stop. The subject was taken to a Modesto hospital, and as of early afternoon there was no information on his condition. As a final matter, the Court rejects the apparent belief—suggested throughout defendants’ filings—that the outcome of this summary judgment motion practice is merely the opening salvo in a war of attrition against any FOIA disclosure. If the parties are unable to work things out, the next step would appear to be the creation of a full evidentiary record, which would be burdensome in its own right. Defendants should not expect to fight a rearguard action against plaintiffs’ FOIA requests with seriatim motion practice, at least not in this forum.

CoreCivic’s lobbyists are required to state, per company policy, that they do not lobby “for or against any policies or legislation that would determine the basis for an individual’s incarceration or detention.” They just lobby for the money that pays for it.
I want to remain anonymous as possible, but yesterday I quit my job at DLR Group. While they haven’t taken any direct contracts with ICE it has come to light that their contracts with other prison corporations, like CoreCivic, have direct contacts with ICE and will plan for dentition centers inside of them, particularly at a project in Oklahoma.
