Before I say yes, I calculate: how long will I stand? Will there be a place to sit? Will I have to walk far? What's the weather like? Is the pain worth it? Will I regret it halfway through? Is it worth the flare that's coming? Will I recover in a day... Or a week? Some may say I'm overthinking, but this is the math of chronic illness, and every yes comes with a price only my body can see.
Ok, lads, we've put up flags, terrified refugees, attacked the police ... But wages are still crap, services are still shit, rents are too high, health service is crumbling, trains unaffordable, food prices astronomical, and high streets all dead. Should we try the flags again?
