Superb wind resources off the southern Oregon coast, tons of open desert for solar, our existing hydroelectric dams, and tons of geothermal (if the tech is ever cost competitive). We have so much energy available to us if we ever figure out how to build transmission lines.

The steppe is still pretty dark in the winter because of how far north Oregon is, but we could still get a lot out of all those resources
