Here we see the classic "We could have had 25k jobs from Amazon and we lost out to it!" line. The reality is, Amazon came to NYC anyway despite not getting subsides!

Not only that, people like @philsustainability.bsky.social could easily see what is happening at the Amazon HQ2 that also promised 25k jobs that wasn't fought off by the people of Virginia. Did they get all those promised jobs?
