NATO was there for the US when it asked for help - despite fake pretences. However, the US didn’t show when it was supposed to defend Ukraine, Kosovo, and the Falklands. US security guarantees mean nothing - unless you’re Israel.
These people expect their insurance policy to by them a new car or a new TV just because they fancy one, don't they? They don't understand that it only pays out in response to a real loss.

I know Trump's method is to be vague for plausible deniability, but I assume this means when Greenland is attacked by Russia or China (neither of which is likely) the US will not be there to defend Greenland. NATO members know this. Most likely, they feel US would offer help then embed themselves.
Literally the only time any NATO member has asked for help from NATO has been the USA after 9/11. And NATO responded.
