Well said. I am taking more breaks from the "noise" of social media. It clears the mind for the next time I meet someone, from any creed, for the first time and have a real conversation where "we" are all valued. Humanity matters.

I notice differences between Bluesky and Threads. On Threads, people will attack someone on a post they don't agree with instead of scrolling past. The post won't even be controversial, something like AITA because I won't let my brother move in or I won't give my sister money. People then attack OP.

I’ve been saying for years that we can fix problems like Trump, for example, all we want, but until we address the root causes - ie our addiction to “shock news” and attention spans that rarely last greater than 1 minute, we’re only being reactive, not proactive. SM is the medium, we are the root.
