Transcript: Facebook account of Jesper Myrfors Concerning Dan Frazier. I have been asked for my opinion so here it is: I have known Dan for a long time. In that time I have found him to be a kind and honorable person. He knows he made a mistake and he is owning it. I think it's good to encourage that. I know this will weigh on him heavily and I like him too much to want to see him suffer. Dan was also an established artist when I approached him to take a risk on an new unproven game and he did not hesitate. He has always gone above and beyond. When my mother said she really like one of his magic illustrations, he gave it to her. It meant a lot. I am not defending his actions that lead to this but I will defend the man. I know this will not happen again. I am also unsure what role WotC may have played in all of this and I do not trust them. I do trust Dan. What happened here seems WAY out of left field. Where were the art directors? It is part of their job to catch things like this as a matter of course. It should never have gotten this far (This is no excuse, but it does raise some questions concerning WotC's role). I also want to be clear that I am in no way trying to gaslight anyone or say their personal reactions to this are wrong or right, that's not my place. I know Dan Frazier to be a good person and knowing what I know of him I would not hesitate to hire him again should opportunity arise in the future. He in no way has a history of copying other artist's work. He does not need to, he has his own artistic voice. That is not to say he did not make a big mistake, he did. My history with him allows me to move past it with no trouble. My hope is that he is given grace in this situation after a lifetime of earning it.
