The world is on fire, and the algorithm just tossed me a horoscope. And look I know that we're all star stuff— mysteries of the universe. Like gluten we bond and rise in this oven-planet. But extracting the mountain's heart, stuffing it into a circuit board, dressing it in a monkey hat, and calling it intelligent is not the same as consulting the stars. Let computers be computers, and if you're going to pray, pray. Don't let the robot do your soul searching. Stephen Miller's speech at the Charlie Kirk memorial was incendiary and unpatriotic. Miller's weaponized words are pointed at his fellow citizens. By his accounting, anyone who disagrees with Kirk's philosophies is the "enemy" and "evil." A wildly narrow definition of "we" emerged from Miller's insinuation that only people with Roman and Athenian heritage are on the side of civilization and virtue. His call for action lifts up only a select few. It leaves out a majority of U.S. Citizens who the government is obligated to serve. If Miller wants to join a white supremacist club to support his brethren, that's his prerogative. But U.S. government offices are not a place for white nationalism. Stephen Miller's words and actions are grossly inappropriate. He does not deserve to have a role in U.S. leadership.
