Photo of my hand during field research in the Finnish Lapland. The blue nitrile-rubber glove is has tens of blackflies (diptera: simuliidae) on it, while the exposed skin on the wrist is full of mosquitoes (diptera: culicidae). A small part of my shirt sleeve reveals it to be a fancy colourful blue silk shirt from the 80's, a perfect garment to protect oneself from the sun, heat and biting insects.
