He said so about Starmer (who won the previous election). He says do popular stuff or do unpopular stuff first and make sure it results in good policy outcomes.

No Matty has said (ridiculously) that not being moderate enough is why Biden lost in 2024 (but somehow won in 2020). Dems were not moderate in 2020-won the Senate and the House! Guess who won in 2008? The most left-wing candidate in both primaries.
