A letter on official letterhead from the State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), California Correctional Institution dated June 8, 2026. The subject line reads "PUBLICATION WITHHELD PENDING REVIEW." Addressed to McFori Ink Publishing, the letter states that the publication titled The Quiet Man will not be delivered to incarcerated persons at CDCR Mule Creek State Prison pending review, citing a violation of California Code of Regulations Title 15, Section 3006(d), which concerns materials that present a serious threat to institution security or the safety of incarcerated persons. The letter is signed by the Mailroom – MCSP, CDCR.
