“Pfft, I bet I could beat ya both in a dance battle!” Rainbow said, smirking.

Sassaflash narrowed her eyes. “Wanna bet on it?”

Rainbow made a beckoning motion with her hand. “Bring it! What’re the stakes?” Her smirk waned a little. “I’m, uh… not really super liquid at the moment, if ya catch my drift.”

“Forget money. Losers have to streak down the stree–”

“No way,” Twilight interjected, sitting up and clumsily adjusting her glasses with a frown. She was wedged up against the wall next to Pinkie. “That’s the quickest way to get arrested!”

Fluttershy nodded her head emphatically, glad that Twilight still had some common sense. She snuggled up closer to Rainbow and–very reluctantly–she had to admit that she wasn’t super keen on letting her girlfriend run around naked with her super hot teammate around. She hadn’t missed all those times Sassaflash’s gaze had flickered to Rainbow’s partially exposed chest this evening…

Fluttershy’s eyes widened.

Oh.

Oh no.

Was she a jealous girlfriend?

Twilight Sparkle scolds Spike for not reading the books she gave him about Starswirl the Bearded

The man tensed his eyes as he rubbed at his neck. He hesitated a tick, then asked, “For my own peace of mind, can you tell me… Are you okay?”

Rarity stared at him, taken aback by the sincere question. She searched his face, finding no hidden joke or guile. In fact, his expression looked haggard, like he hadn’t slept and was going on day three of not eating.

She wheeled a hand through the air. “And you’re asking this question because…?”

He shrugged with a jutted bottom lip. “Just a concerned citizen.”

“Sir, I’m afraid I must turn the question around. Are you okay?” Rarity’s brow tensed as she gestured at him. “Not to be rude, but you look as if you’ve had a rough go of it!”

He shrugged, frowning. “I have, but that isn’t the point.”

“And what if I wish to make it the point?”

Now he grinned. It was tired, but Rarity thought it brightened his face considerably. A boyish grin. It made her think of stray alley cats slinking mischievously through the night. “Well, miss. It’s sure hard to resist your charms, so I will gladly allow for this reversal.”

He continues, just to amplify earlier mentioned models of disability here:

No one wants to think about the barriers to healthcare and appropriate adaptive technology paralyzed. People who want to be ordinary are a problem. They are stigmatized for their failure to follow the societal script worse, they are. They force others to obey the law. The ADA in particular that prohibits discrimination against people with a disability like typical others. We people with a disability want to be able to work, own a home and have unfettered access to mass transportation for this to happen. Disability must be placed in the larger societal historical, political and medical context"

"Right now, amputees have choices that other disabled people don't when it comes to how they want to be in the world--whether we want to use prostheses at all, what kinds of prostheses we want to use. But these choices are always made within the context of social pressures that push us toward normalcy, inviting comments and critique."
