It is a terrible creature, born of many mixed species, and imbued with the souls of many tortured dead. Nadya Vladislava and her siblings are rushed away from the beast, but she looks back only to watch the beast kill her father, impaling him on one of his own soldier's spears. As their defenders die left and right, she rushes to him, but he has already succumbed to his wounds. Nadya's mother, Queen Mirrana, rushes in and sees her husband on the floor, immediately engaging the monster, as the building in which Nadya’s siblings are hiding collapses on them. Mirrana attacks and is thrown several meters into the side of a building, appearing to die. Nadya begins to cast every attack she can think of, throwing spears and knives, but staying out of the beast's reach. A leprechaun rushes into the fray, casting both combat and subduing spells with a wand. He succeeds in damaging the thing, but it charges at Nadya, knocking her a few feet back, and as she slowly loses consciousness, she watches as this leprechaun slowly drives the beast away. ______________________________________________ Laulighn Malachy sorts through the rubble of Bor, saddened by the unnecessary destruction. He calls out to his men as he finds bodies and they take them away to be buried. As Laulighn makes his way back into the keep, he hears the faint whimper of a child, one he thought had died. She is laying over the body of the Queen, weeping quietly, and Laulighn deduces this is the daughter of the Queen. He realizes this is a potentially powerful witch, and suddenly sees an opportunity to complete his new mission, which is to destroy Kane’s Beast.
