Balboa Double track won't finish until 2039. These SCORE projects needed for 30min service are now 10 years behind. Patchwork funding and patchwork governance are failing Metrolink riders.

Just the massive, and I mean MASSIVE gap between how SD (via NCTD) and Metrolink fund everything. I don't blame them though, as material prices have SKYROCKETED compared to when they announced the program/projects, especially concrete and rail.
Similarly, 4th track in Riverside county essential for more more reliable 91 & IE-OC line service delayed until 2039; Metrolink extension to Hemet delayed til 2050. Meanwhile numerous highway expansions in the area will be complete within 5 years.
