"Now that I've finished SLARPG (Super Lesbian Animal RPG) I wanted to draw this because this scene really hit me while playing. I wasn't expecting a scene like this in a video game (then again, I was playing a game literally called "Super Lesbian Animal RPG"). I literally started crying when Claire opened up to Melody about her childhood and how she felt so behind in life, like everyone else got an 18 year headstart while her life was just beginning. I relate to that a lot. I'm 19, but I can't drive, I've never been employed, and, with the economic state of the US, I doubt I'll be able to afford a house anytime soon unless prices plummet. Claire talks about how her friends still love her despite her being reckless and selfish and how even Faith, the Guardian of Greenridge (essentially the mayor), cuts her so much slack despite always causing some commotion in town. Claire then talks to Melody about how they may not talk much, but that Melody's the only other trans girl she's been friends with irl and that Melody's always been so supportive. Then Melody responds with, "We've gotta look out for each other. If we don't, then who will?" and that hit me like a freight train. No other video game that I've ever played has ever had such a genuinely vulnerable scene like this between two trans girls. I was genuinely in tears and had to sit down and think afterward. It was such a powerful scene, and it stuck with me. I just beat this game not too long ago, but it now has a very special place in my heart 🏳️‍⚧️"
