Be me. Buy a domain on Vercel for $20 for a coding project. Feel good about the decision, thinking I’m a legit developer now. Couple days later, Vercel announces, “lol, we’re dropping domain prices.” Domain now worth $7. Haven’t even started the project yet. Tfw I paid 3x the price for nothing.
Be me. Decide to write a meme generator in Go. Think, “How hard could image manipulation be?” Three hours later, still trying to draw a rectangle. Find five different libraries that almost do what I want, but none support rounded corners. Consider switching to Python, but remember I already told everyone Go is the best. Silently suffer. Finally get it working. Run go build -o bin/greentext and immediately hit a runtime panic: freetype called with nil font. Tfw image manipulation in Go makes you question life.
