funny thing about Nissan design of a just slightly earlier era: even though I followed the R390 when it raced, I never knew that its fascia was referencing a bunch of low-end Nissans like this Almera. We never got those in the US, so I learned the R390 had a ’family face’ just like 2 years ago

Just noticed it uses the ubiquitous 300ZX headlights, which makes perfect sense in this application.
Yeah, Nissan put a similar grille on a lot of cars over here, the Micra, Primera etc all wore a similar design.
