Someone recalculate China population and found out that it maybe much lower than what they want us to believe. Around 700M instead of 1400M they want to boast about. Even so China is a tangible menace in the Indo Pacific.
In the 1970s, there was a rationalization of unit lineages to instill esprit de corps in formations. For example, all howitzer battalions in a division were made part of the same Field Artillery Regiment, with the DIVARTY Commander also the administrative Commandant of that regiment (8 FA in 25ID)
