One of the big disconnects between business and artists regarding AI is that business doesn't want to be there; artists do. For a business, anything between the starting point and selling a product is a cost to get rid of. Minimise it! Reduce it! For an artist, that process from starting to finish is the whole point. GenAI popping up on a writer's page is like a robot running out on court and asking if you want the robot to take the shot for you. No! I want to be a basketball player, a writer, an artist. I want to play, write, and art. I’m open to improving my process of creation, of playing, but I want to create!
