Fuck you too. The human-touch link roundup was the reason I subscribe to Platformer and the reason I recommend it to my students. If you want to throw that away chasing industry attention, I can't help you. There are dozens of better reporters out there, and I'll give them some money instead.
I support this move; GenAI made aggregation a commodity almost overnight, and original reporting is the one layer in the stack that doesn't compress. Smart pivot… Publications that survive this cycle are going to be the ones that figured out which part of their value was actually load-bearing.
