WHEREAS, In recognition of a half-century of service to the recreational and cultural needs of the people of California and the protection and management of the natural and historical resources of the state, the founding of the state park system should be honored on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, the Senate thereof concurring, That May 7, 1978, be designated as State Park Golden Anniversary Observance Day; and be it further Resolved, That the Department of Parks and Recreation is requested to allow park visitors one day-use entry to any unit of the state park system without charge on that day; and be it further Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Assembly transmit a copy of this resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation.
