He was last seen on June 7 at approximately 12:15 a.m. shortly before his vehicle was found unoccupied after being involved in a car crash in Fairfax County. Kyle is believed to be missing under voluntary circumstances and may be in need of assistance. Delegate Henson "morally opposed" to Lieutenant Governor Earle-Sears' poor leadership. A recent freedom of information request has uncovered a note on the enrolled version of House bill 174 written by Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears detailing her "moral opposition" to marriage license protections for same-sex relationships. HB 174, introduced by Delegate Rozia Henson Democrat from Prince William during the Virginia General Assembly's 2024 legislative session, added affirmative language to the Virginia code that guarantees the issuance of marriage licenses without regard to sex, gender, or race of the 2 adults seeking to enter into a marriage. The release of this note follows news of governor Glenn Youngkin asking John Reid the openly gay Republican nominee for virginia lieutenant governor, to drop out of the race and canceling a previously scheduled GOP unity rally in Henrico County in support of the Virginia Republican party's statewide slate of candidates. While Reed still held his own rallying Henrico, Earle-Sears did not attend or offer any form of public support to the Republican nominee. Statement from Delegate Rozia Henson Jr. reads LGBTQ+ Virginians have long experienced the Republican party's quote-unquote moral opposition to the LGBTQ+ community through years and years of opposition to LGBTQ+ equality. This is only one reason of an increasingly longer and longer lists of many reasons why we must elect Abigail Spanberger as Virginia's next governor in November. Furthermore, I am quote-unquote morally opposed to the lieutenant governor's demonstration of poor leadership. Unable to unify her own team and unable to publicly support the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor at his own rally, Earle-Sears seems more interested in burning bridges than building them. Delegate Henson was elected as the first openly gay Black man to the Virginia house of delegates in November 2023. He has not endorsed a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor.

I am honored to have had my piece “Rising Light”, my response to post-COVID Asian hate, programmed by “The President's Own” United States Marine Band, and I have been looking forward to their performance in collaboration with Equity Arc on May 4th, 2025. Additionally, I was honored to have worked with the underprivileged and underrepresented highschool students participating in the Equity Arc Program, who would have played side-by-side with the Marine Band. It has come to my attention that the program, one based on equity and diversity of voices, is no longer supported at the federal level under this administration, and it was for this reason that the program and performance were canceled. I am saddened and frustrated that this is the case. As one of the living composers of color on the program, I stand on the shoulders of those before me, most recently the Kennedy Center’s artists and staff, and know I would not be who I am today without their influence in the music world. My heart further hurts for the highschool students who would have participated in the Equity Arc program, who have all lost a substantial part of their music education. The arts are an essential part of an educated population. Thank you to Darren Lin, Ryan Nowlin, and the staff of “The President’s Own” and Equity Arc for fighting for our voices to be heard. I look forward to the day where my music, and the diverse voices of composers like myself, will once again be welcomed on the national stage. Unc Sam is a figure that reminds us not to be quote unquote too loud, to visible or too ghetto so we can appease white audiences. Uncle Sam is a caution to make sure Black folks quote unquote know their place and Kendrick said efff that sucka. Y'all know, king Kendrick loathes Donald in all he represents so deliberately having his dancers forming a disconnected American flag quote unquote be humble was poetic because you only have to look at the state of the USA to understand. Kendrick literally protested all the current political shenanigans by creatively taunting the administration during America's biggest sporting event. The crowd shouting A minor wasn't just about his beef with Drake, but also having that echo around a stadium in front of a President who has had a string of sexual scandals and allegations against him whew. The fact that Sza and Kendrick performed All the Stars the lead single to the most commercially successful Blackety Black film of all time, Black Panther wasn't lost on us. Every. Single. Thing. Kendrick did on stage was a huge metaphor A myriad of metaphors actually. the fact he didn't code switch during his performance was truly delicious. The entire performance was a middle finger to the Maga supporters and all their hateful ideologies. The cherry on top? having a Black quarterback, who has an all female management squad, lead his team to victory whilst against Maga, loving opponents is extra sweet, especially seeing as some members of the opposition think the only thing women are good for is kitchen and children duties. King Kendrick and the Philadelphia Eagles came with a vengeance.
