People have a tendency to misinterpret Tibbs. Most people think he is excessive, dramatic, erratic, or just "a lot." Which, in all fairness isn't an inaccurate way to describe him. What people don't get though is that all of those things are just him. Like, here, imagine you are at the beach, okay? And all the people there are complaining that the ocean is too full of unpredictable waves. How would you feel? You'd be like, "Yeah. No shit, Sherlock. It's the freakin' ocean." Because expecting anything else is insane. Oh, and by the way? Once us ignorant human-people finally understood and accepted that we weren't going to stop said-ocean from having waves whenever and however it wanted? We figured out how to navigate its "unpredictability" just fine. Hell, we even learned how to surf on it. Same applies to Tibbs. He is who he is. If you understand him, you can gauge his moods with decent accuracy. Even when his waves of excessive or dramatic are about to roll in. And when they do, it doesn't make sense to describe him as acting "excessive" or to complain about him being "too dramatic" because new flash; he isn't doing it by choice. He's just being him. That said As much as I love Tibbs, as much I understand him, I personally have zero tolerance for him choosing to crash his anxious waves all over me when he could go do it literally anywhere else. I may be a sitting duck in this stupid body cast, but I am not and never will be a goddamn doormat. "Nope. You're moody." I point to the door. "Out of my room. Go run laps or something." Tibbs spins around on his heels and collapses on to the floor cross-legged with another pathetic whine "I caaa-aa-aaaan't!" "Whhhyy-ii-iii?" I mimic back, adjusting my leg harness from where his disingenuous affection had ruffled the straps.
