Classic wren with the tail up as this Marsh Wren perches atop a cattail.

The brown on this bird made me consider it might be a Rusty Blackbird or even a Cowbird. That eye is very similar to the Rusty Blackbird's.

A Ruffed Grouse struts its stuff, neck feathers fluffed and looking proud (likely a defensive pose).
A stocky heron with large red eyes to help see in the dark.
The large red eye of the heron helps it see when its active during the night.
A guillemot banks showing the bottom of a wing. It has a flat, slimy thing in its beak. The best part of a guillemot is its bright red feet.
The shadows on the cardinal gives it a deep red colour while the sunlight gives definition to the feathers.
A bird, not normally one that perches, hangs on as the breeze moves the tree it's in back and forth. The air was so moist a water drop is is forming on the end of its beak.
A mostly brown duck has a patch of colour on its wings which, depending on the light, can appear green to teal to a dark blue or any combination.
Swimming behind the duck is an out of focus muskrat, cruising the marsh. The duck didn't react to its presence.
A duckling flaps its tiny wings and the gang follows Mom.
The light blue, hidden when swimming, are fully exposed as the teal flies.
The light of Dawn fully washes the extended wing of the bittern.
A Beaver pushes through the swampy green water like it was Jello. It has a ring of brown swamp scum on the lower part of its head.
Short legs are firing on all cylinders as the vole is determined to get to the other side
Stalking prey with neck stretched out. You can see its foot (toes) in yellow just at water level.
They can be tricky to spot through the bulrushes which they grasp for support as they hunt. The toes are barely visible to the lower right of the bird, hanging on to a bulrush.

A female harrier banks as it searches for prey
The blackbird is flying in with a full beak. Dragonfly like wings frame the bird's face with one wing hitting the top of the its head.
A hare stands up to reach a juicy leaf.
A rabbit (Hare really) sits proudly on an old tree stump.
A large head pokes through the grass covered in bits of algae.
A robin has, in its beak, an odd caterpillar looking bug, dark in colour with red bristles sticking out of each body segment.
A gosling crawls under an old sun bleached leftover of a large fallen maple tree.
A young goose peaks around from behind the parents breast as they swim along the shoreline.
The bird on the left passes a tiny morsel to the bird on the right.
The Orangey-red eye of a Virginia Rail peaks out of the shadow of marsh grass.
A Cedar Waxwing, perched on a small branch, looks over its shoulder.
A young goldeneye is up on mom's back like it was still a tiny baby. Now the one duckling covers her entire back.
The warbler has a golden coloured bug in its beak. It's tongue is stretched looking like its tasting but it uses its tongue to pull the bug into its throat.
Tail up (showing off its rufous undertail) and head up with a tasty morsel in its beak. Note black cap and eye contrasting with its medium gray feathers.
White-crowned Sparrow aptly named with the contrasting black and white stripes on its head.

The warbler bends its head down, mouth opened, ready to pounce on an unsuspecting ant crawling across a leaf.

A Great Blue Heron stretching from head to toe as it cuts through the air.
An eagle flies with a long eel grasped in its talons. There is a blush of red on the tip of the eagles yellow beak and its feet.
A Wood Duck, standing on a dark tube, has it's beak open just enough to appear to have a grin.
The phalarope's beak is slightly open as it reaches to grab a worm or centipede floating in the water.
The beautiful markings of the phalarope reflect in the deep blue water.
A dainty bird with a striking black and brown streak down its neck spreads its wings and tailfeathers
The House finch is often mistaken for a Purple Finch. The House Finch has the extra strips on the belly and it's beak is more conical.
Caught mid head scratch it looks like this Brant is woefully contemplating how it got here.
Coming in for a landing this female Snowy Owl shows off the black on her sides, missing on the male.
Wings being pulled in, the owl looks up checking its surroundings and treating me to its golden eyes.

A Moose cannot reach the ground to graze without bending knee.
A Moose gets down on its front knees and moves around to reach the grass. Its legs, long enough to reach the ground, are too long to just stretch its neck to graze.
This sparrow starts out singing but when other birds (out of view) react it raises the feathers on the top of its head
A typical sparrow but with a large yellow eyebrow. It raised its crown as other sparrows moved into the area.
A heron has a firm grip on a fish twisting to escape.
Porcupine sitting in a willow tree sitting upright while it grabs branches to munch on.
