馃挊 @celenity.dev 路 Nov 19 based on stats from wikipedia, we can estimate google has control of ~60 to 80% browser marketshare via their chromium browsing engine, which chrome, edge, opera, and samsung internet all use (not to mention most other browsers like brave & vivaldi also use). how else do you define a monopoly?

This isn鈥檛 a monopoly when you have all these options and people pick google that is a CHOICE
Did you forget that chromium is FOSS? It is also not part of the selloff ... because its FOSS. You can fork it right now.
What?? Thats a choice of people.
Not sure what point you're trying to make regarding search engines by invoking Chromium. Using the Chromium codebase for a browser (like Edge) doesn't require its users to then use the google search engine.
