I'm not sure patronising is an adjective that touches the sides here. I grew up in poverty and am not racist. It is a condition that is taught mainly to people who revel in being victims, so it doesn't matter what your financial circs were/are, it is more about insecurity & taught fear
Another political chameleon. Trying to ride a wave of resentment he will find that waves peter out after a while and he will have to find another one. Just like the rest.
Its the resentment felt by people in poverty that makes many of them susceptable to wealthy opportunists like Farage, who dominates the media, telling them the reason they are poor is the foreigners and it works. He wants to be elected thats all. Obviously some, like Angela Rayner, see through it.
Nonsense. Some of the most racist people I have known in my life, were from wealthy backgrounds. Mainly because they had little or no experience if interacting with people from different backgrounds away from their ivory towers. Sadly, wealthy women.
On the face of it, this is ridiculous as it originates mostly from intellectual, rich academics and politicians....but what was his context for saying this?
He did warn them that he was going to be a "populist", and they voted for him on that basis 😂👍.
