Q: You mentioned once that young adult Astra had a big fight with one of her dads and they stopped talking for a while - what's the story there? Love your art! <3 A: Yes, Aziraphale and Astra had a really bad fight when she was a young adult, which resulted in them not talking for a while and her leaving the cottage. In this version the Judge comic never happened. The family is living far off from the world of supernatural beings and her parents blocked the angelic/demonic power she has so she could live a normal, save human-ish life. She grows up not knowing that her parents aren't human and have all those powers, that miracles exist etc. I haven't fully fleshed out the fight between Azi and Astra but she pretty much finds out the whole truth about her origin and that her parents, mainly Azi, kept her away from who she really is. Some people from Heaven also influenced her and told her the story how her father (Azi) ruined the whole ineffable plan of bringing paradise to earth and now human kind is doomed and has to keep on suffering. At this point she really gets interested to work for Heaven and help fixing things. Azi and Crowley ofc were having non of it, trying to explain to her that this is how Heaven manipulates you and especially Azi explains that he went through the exact same thing years ago and firmly wants to stop her from interacting with Heaven. The arguments go back and forth, voices get louder, more frustrated and angry till Astra drops the final bomb at tells Aziraphale "I hate that you are my father. I wish God had never brought me to you." And with those last words she leaves and has to find out the hard way that Heaven is not as nice as she thought. I also imagined when she left that Crowley gave the car keys for the Bentley so the ol' girl could provide some company while Astra is searching for the answers she is looking for out there in this big world.
