I would like to emphasize that a shortage of these chemos is VERY BAD for cancer patients. These are some of the most common chemos we use. There is no substitute for this in curing ovarian cancer, testicular cancer, lung cancer, and head and neck cancer. A cousin of these drugs (oxaliplatin, also made with platinum) has no substitute in curing colon cancer. These drugs are also used in some way in basically every type of solid tumour cancer. Older, staple chemos are more at risk of shortage because they're less profitable, so less companies make them. I am very worried at the chance of these shortages expanding. This is extremely worth paying attention to and advocating for more stable supply chains. I'm biased (am a medical oncologist), but l think chemo drugs are a more lifesaving use of platinum than more gen Al we didn't ask for.

Their compensation was repeatedly assured and promised for months (alas, verbally) by the organisation that my partner was working with. They are refusing to pay now, and the work has already been produced and screened trusting the organisation's repeated promises.
