A speculative illustration of the giant siphonophore, Praya dubia. It shows the same image as above in the previous post of a mostly transparent animal rendered in light blue for the transparent portions with multiple yellow tentacles dangling like a beaded curtain undulating on a black background, but this time, the image is about 3 times as long as the previous to show off the full-length of the colonial animal. The animal is rendered with the head and some of its length brighter to convey that only some of its length is illuminated by an underwater light.
A giant siphonophore, a colonial animal in phylum Cnidaria, digitally illustrated to show off its enormous length in a long, undulating manner.
