When I read this, I realized that the US Government was making a sovereign citizen argument. The 14a just says that you be "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. With some *very* narrow exceptions, everyone physically in the US is subject to its jurisdiction. 🧵

"Subject to the jurisdiction" of a government means that it an enforce its laws on you. Of course anyone here undocumented is "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States. If they weren't, the only thing we could if they committed a crime is throw them out.
