It's not clear that the opposition (ehich isn't a united coalition at all) could form a government. Netanyahu may be SOL, but there is a decent chance we end up with something equally as distasteful. The 2-state solution is pretty much dead in Israeli politics.

I need a primer on the opposition parties. I haven’t had much of an understanding of non-Likud / Likud-coalition parties in years.

We could see a hung parliament if this were to hold, but I think with the protests that happen at Tel Aviv every week, those could be the wild card factor going in to Israel's elections.
