Boca Chica-liar, liar, pantalones on fuego! Unbelievable. I'm in literal shock. I stopped at the Boca Chica Restaurante for a late dinner. Got a table for myself. Was ignored a little but it was busy. Got my water delivered by the same gentleman I've known for ages. No chips though. I didn't say anything about it as I wasn't super hungry. Then I waited and waited to be served on, but that's okay, it was just me and they were super busy. Maybe they were out of chips and salsa I thought. I mean, it is a Friday night and all. My waitress finally sees me and comes to take a drink order. I was feeling feisty and ordered a traditional margarita, blended. I asked her, do I get chips and salsa? Are you out? And she says, verbatim, we don't have free chips and salsa anymore. And, I said, when did that happen? And she says oh, it's been that way forever. I'm like oh really! I've been coming here for 59 years. I'm currently 58. That means I came here in my mother's womb in 1967. I knew Willy and Gloria through my folks. Is that why we're always got free chips and salsa? This confused her. She kind of wandered away. So l asked the older gentlemen who has worked there for an eternity cleaning up after you and I'm like, sir, you recognize me right and he says yes makes a hand gesture for a shorter person and I said, yes, yes, my mom and dad were regular here too. I look a little different now i said and he agreed.
