Delivered the first 10 out of 70 affordable homes at the Regent’s Village development. All will be fitted with air source heat pumps and solar panels. Given the go-ahead for 70 new affordable energy-efficient homes on the former Monkscroft School site, offering a mix of shared-ownership and social rent in an eco-friendly landscape. Approved plans including 24 affordable homes as part of the Corinthian Park development.
Delivered grants to dozens of projects across Cheltenham, supporting the arts, community health and wellbeing. Secured the future of the Cheltenham Playhouse and supported a new community hub in St Marks. Protected Daisybank Field with ‘Asset of Community Value’ designation. Delivered digital skills sessions to local primary school children through a collaboration between Golden Valley and Jam Coding.
Securing our economic future with the Golden Valley development and Junction 10 improvements, bringing jobs to west Cheltenham. Launched a Skills Hub to help young people to secure jobs in the booming cyber, AI and quantum technology sectors. Retained Cheltenham’s Purple Flag award for the tenth consecutive year, recognising our town’s safe and welcoming night-time economy.
Awarding grants to local businesses and leading projects to reduce carbon emissions and tackle the climate emergency. Planting trees and wildflowers to absorb carbon and support biodiversity. Building energy-efficient homes with heat pumps and rooftop solar panels. Retaining ‘Green Flag’ status for our parks and green spaces, and improving our climate emergency scorecard by 25% in 2025.
