Pencil on paper sketch of a dragon laying down. The dragon has a skull head with wooden horns with foliage at the ends. It has a long neck with a long hanging main with a couple braids here and there. Its front paws have fingers and claws, and one of the arms has distinct markings. The wings are made of wood and the membranes are torn. On its back and along its tail grows small trees, giving an idea of the scale of the dragon. Its cloven hooved hind legs are folded under itself, and its tails curls around it. Bone ribs are visible on top of its fur.

In the middle is a sitting figure, slouched and facing away from the viewer. They have long hair obscuring their face and a cape covered in moss, dead leaves and roots. They are holding in their hands a skull and looking at it. It had a black star on its forehead and long hair.
Behind the figure is a deer slumped on the ground, it has been shot by an arrow in its belly, in the area where the fur is softest and youngest at the junction with the thigh. There is no blood. The deer is seen still breathing and is facing away from the viewer.
On top of the deer's behind is perched a bird, crow like, and it is looking at the figure trying to see their face, like it's asking a question. Under it are a couple of black feathers, showing this isn't the bird's first visit, it has been here a lot. Behind it are dead trees. This bird embodied the expectations of moving on, on shaking it off, on having a plan, on getting a move on ; the people asking what's next? How's it going? But nothing's changed.
On the right side behind the deer is a charriot wheel. Hands are reaching through it, asking with their palms up or grabbing the wheel. It has spikes and twisted beams. This wheel represent capitalism and the pressure to produce, to sell, to give, taxes, aids, debts, investments.
Under it on the ground, there are footsteps going back and forth. People are checking on the figure and leaving, maybe they got no answer, maybe there's no new news.
Under it are papers discared, like duties abandonned. Lef tof them, covered in moss and leaves, are a crown and a sword. Those are the symbols of my confidence.
The figure had been trusted by the skull (themselves) and the deer was shoot because of it (my artistic soul). Feeling responsible and grieving it stripped them of their confidence (the regalia). The world turns and demands but the damage is too great.

The 'past' card shows 3 crow assassins with red blades, at night, at the top is Taliesin, middle is Zevran and below Rinna. Only Zevran's face is drawn with detail. They each have chains at their wrists, to reference they are slaves to the crows, a pale crow mask and Zevran is the only one not bloodied, to hint at the violent fate his partners each met by his hand. Zevran is also the only one with a white halo, whereas the other two have a red halo, more faded. Crow feathers are hidden in their capes, both darker than Zevran's. He has a brooch with peacock feathers, showing his arrogance and pride at the time. The background shows an antivan city and Thedas' two moons.
I have paid special attention to textures and patterns to emulate the popular Inquisition tarot card style.
