A TODO comment I just wrote for a game dev project in Unity. It reads: Right now, I'm not sure there is a division between persistent/transient scenes and UiToolkit/GameObject scenes to warrant having a field (or the equivalent enum). In the first case, I think my current design moves all the "persistent" scenes to be singletons on the bootstrapper. So InkManager, SettingsMenuManager, PauseMenuManager, AudioManager would be singletons under bootstrapper. This does mean they will load and get ready on every scene including the main menu, but really only PauseMenuManager is the only one that does not need to be on the main menu, everything else does. But perhaps the GameObject for that could be disabled at first and then enabled/disabled when entering the main menu screen. In the second case, I do foresee a use for if we wanted to add 3D scenes for parts. But we don't have that intention yet, so I feel it's fine to punt that work to when we do do that.
