We heard from 9 of you who were interested in the charitable donation of the books featuring your stories, 2 who opted to cancel the collection, and 5 who did not respond. For those who were interested in the book continuing (including perhaps some of you from whom we had not yet heard), Chirs and I will offer an opportunity later this year because
The anthology team encountered several unexpected challenges during production, particularly near final file delivery. In hindsight, we could have communicated those developments more clearly. Our goal was to address concerns without involving contributors in every discussion or creating unnecessary complications for the organization. We now have a clear path forward, and we are especially grateful to Maurice Broaddus for helping guide conversations with Gen Con.

In her service to SFWA, Rabe was the business manager and editor of the SFWA Bulletin for several years. Rabe resigned her editorial position after the publication of a sexist article that she had voiced concerns about and been disempowered to halt. She then bore the brunt of community response without organizational support. SFWA apologizes for the wound this unkind treatment left Jean, her friends, and her family to overcome.
