We both know sunshine is the only disinfectant strong enough when faced with credible allegations this serious. I am writing to encourage you to do the right thing--demand a judicially-led public inquiry and withhold your support for the the Premier in the legislature if she refuses.

Dear Minister Mclver, I am writing as a Calgary-Hays constituent to express my support for Infrastructure Minister Peter Guthrie's memo urging the Premier to take action in response to the serious allegations of corruption and improper political influence within and between Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services. As I understand from what's been reported publicly, Minister Guthrie has made several recommendations which I assume you are already familiar with given your position on the executive council. • Remove Adrianna LaGrange as Health Minister • Remove Andre Tremblay as CEO/ administrator and as Deputy Minister • Immediately turn over to the RCMP any and all information and material pertaining to potentially criminal activity

In 2023 alone, Alberta exported approximately $16.2 billion worth of food and agricultural products, a significant portion of which went to the United States, a primary market for these goods. Additionally, Alberta’s forestry industry, a vital component of Canada’s overall exports, would face significant disruptions under proposed tariffs. The manufacturing sector, including machinery and equipment production, also relies heavily on U.S. markets, contributing billions annually to Alberta’s trade economy. These economic pillars, along with other sectors, could be profoundly affected, leading to widespread consequences for our communities and livelihoods. Collaboration is essential in ensuring Canada’s voice is heard on the global stage. By working with other provinces and the federal government, Alberta could help negotiate solutions that mitigate the impact of tariffs and safeguard the livelihoods of Albertans. A divided stance, however, risks weakening Canada’s position and could leave Alberta more vulnerable to economic consequences. Moreover, your refusal to unite under threat tarnishes our reputation with our peers inside Canada and abroad. This issue is personal to me because I work remotely with American colleagues every day and owe my livelihood to Canada's friendly relationship with the United States. As a resident of Alberta, I strongly urge you to reconsider your decision and engage in collaborative efforts to address this critical matter. By fostering unity, we can protect Alberta’s economic interests and demonstrate our province’s resilience and leadership within our great confederation.
