Abridged version As of 2025, Amazon Prime Video features an abridged version of the film with 12 minutes removed. The entire scene of George in the alternate Pottersville is excised and as a result, drastically changes the ending of the film. This abridged version is the result of removing the scene based on "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern, which has a different copyright than the film itself, allowing the film to be a rights-free version for full access to the public domain.
